Devil Dance -Daha Ata Sanniya - Visit Srilanka


Daha Ata Sanniya is a traditional dance and it used by srilankans to avoid 18 types of diseases in human body. when the occasion of dance the dancer perform 18 caractors (Sanni) for avoid the human psychological manipulation, 

Here 18 Diseases represent by 18 demons and the Chief demon is called as Maha Kala.


Karattaya - Bull cart - Visit Srilanka


Bull Cart (Karatta) was the Main Vehicle in ancient Srilanka. mainly it used to  travel People and goods. even today it self we can rarely see this Bull carts in Srilanka. 

There are several kinds of carts in srilanka they are Bakki Karatta, gon karatta and Tirikkala, mostly this Bull Carts are used to transport goods, Further in some occasions use two bulls for one cart that is called as Bara Baage (This means Loaded Cart) 



Dalada Perahara -Visit Srilanka

Dalada Petahara is one of best festival amang the Srilankan's this Perahara is held for honer the Dalada ( The load Buddha's tooth ) to  get colorful this event, lot of dances participate and perform there dances in this perahara (Collection of cultural Dances) and the most impotent thing is dalada karaduwa keep on the elephant. 

This event is normaly held in Asala 

Atuwa - Srilankan Paddy Store

Atuwa is one of Famues Equipment which use by Srilankans to store Paddy (Paddy harvest). further more, when paddy stored in Atuwa  the paddy can be protect from Animals Rain and other kind of therts. before 20 years this will used in the home and even today itself we can see Atuwa's in some homes.




Haggala Botanical Garden

The Haggala botanical garden is established in 1861 for the purpose of cincona cultivation in Srilanka by British governors. it is about 28 hectares in extent and most local and foreign visitors love to this place since the garden has very colorful and nice plants and flowers. and the climate around the garden is very cool and fresh.  

the temperature range around the haggala Garden is 3 centigrade to 15 while the rain foll from too monsoons this helps to grow the  nice roses and orkids 

Gangarama Temple - Srilanka


This is one of Nice Srilankan temple which is situvated at colombo city. since it is near to the "Bere Wawa"  it is treated as Gangarama temple and contently the chief incombant in the  temple is called as Podi hamuduruwo ( little monk) 

At the inside of the Gangaramaya you can see a budhist musiem and lot of nice and colorful budda statues around the  temple. 

further, if you are lucky you can see the world smolest  budda statue too.

King Parakramabahu


This is a stone statue of King Parakramabahu who ruled srilanka (from 1164 to 1196 AD) the theme of his 
life was "Not one drop of water must flow into the ocean without serving the purpose of man " he ruled srilanka 33 years according to Mahawansa   he build or restored 165 dams , 3910 canals, 163 major reservoirs and 3276 minor tanks. during his period he restored three great dagobas at Anuradhapura (The capital city of his kingdom further one of his grate construction was Parakrama Samudraya  


Polonnaruwa Maligawa (Palace at Polonnaruwa)

The polonnaruwa Palace is one of grate place which we should visit as srilaknans becourse it is the royal palace of king Parakumba as per the historical records it is was seven storey  building and even today itself we can see the kigs bathing pool and the kings audiance holl

Watadageya (Historical)


Watadhageya is one of greatest creation of the great king Parakumba (Parakrama Bahu) watadageya itself silently and proudly talk about the social development of ancient srilanka. This is one of good example for the stone creations of srilankan even after 900 years it still show the powerfulness of our ancient engineers
The king Parakrama bahu ruled the srilanka from 1156 -1186 and after that major renovation has done by king nissanka malla (from 1186 to 1196)  for this Watadageya



Isurumuniya Viharaya (Isurumuniya Lovers)

This picture content the famus Isurumuni Pem uwala (Isurumuni Lovers) as per the historical records this is saliya and asokamala (saliya is King Dutugamunu's son and his fiance Asokamala) 

this love story is very famous love story in srilanka. be course prince saliya give up crown for marry Asokamala (Be course Asoka mala is not a women from royal family) 

However, due to this reason the Sadda Tissa (brother of the King Dutugamunu) become the next king in srilanka

Ridi Viharaya (Silver Rock Temple)


Ridi Viharaya is located at (Ridi Gama) Kurunagala district the term Ridi Gama means Silver village. this vihara is original build under the gidence of King Dutugamunu who role the country from 161 BC  to 137 BC.  

As per the mahawansa (A great srilankan historical Record ) king dutugamunu received some valuable silver from this village and the revenue from this silver, make used to build up the "Ruwan wali Maha saya"

in return of this he honored to this vilage by building the Ridi Viharaya further, under the gidence of king keerthi sri rajasingha ridi viharaya went on a major revival process and build up the upper temple.

Mandalagiri Viharaya


Sigiri Lalanawo (Buty Queens in Sigiriya)

The master builder of sigiriya is king Kasyapa. further, he is named as sigiri kasyapa. he is the one of son of king Dathusana ( A Grate king in Anuradhapura). Kashyapa killed his father and become the next king of Srilanka but he knew that one day his brother will against him. because Mugalan (brother) is the most suitable person for the next king. there fore he build his kingdom on the top of sigiriya mountain for security purposes.

mainly this paintings are made on the mountain Wall. before they draw this painting they have used a cement  and color washed the wall ( some are called it is a done by using some herbals ) if you visit srilanka you can see lot of nice painting in the sigiri rock wall. in addition to that the person who visited to the sigiriya has wrote poems about the paintings those are called as sigiri "Kurutu Gee"
